FAQ's botox

When does BOTOX® start working?

You will start to see the effects of BOTOX® in about 3-4 days (sometimes a sensation of heaviness to start) and the full effect at the end of 2 weeks. I can see you again at the two week point to evaluate the effects and adjust the treatment if needed. Everyone and every treatment is unique as it is based on the muscle evaluation during consultation. For optimal results, I do recommend that you not lie down for at least four hours afterwards, and avoid strenuous exercise for about 24 hours.

Will it hurt?

The treatment consists of a series of tiny injections using a fine needle. Most clients find applying a cold gel-pack before and after the procedure is all that’s needed to eliminate any discomfort.

How long will it take?

The injections themselves generally take 5 to 15 minutes, but please allow some time beforehand to discuss which areas you wish to have treated.

Are There Any Side Effects?

As with any injection, there can be temporary swelling, redness, bruising, headache, or local discomfort. Your safety is my number one concern and I ensure the highest level of safety and hygienic practice for my clients. But BOTOX® Cosmetic, like any medical procedure, does involve risks, so I encourage all of my clients to do their research and make an informed decision before undergoing treatment.

Frequently Asked Questions Botox and Fillers

Will the Dermal Filler hurt?

Dermal Fillers can be a bit more uncomfortable as the areas are quite sensitive. I use a very fast acting topical anesthetic that helps with the discomfort.

How long will it take?

Dermal Fillers are a more complex injection and timing is based on the areas of treatment. It can range anywhere from 20-40 minutes.

Are There Any Side Effects?

Dermal fillers have greater incidence of swelling and bruising after injection. You should not have fillers close to an important event as there is no way to determine the amount of swelling you may have. If you do have swelling it typically lasts 24-48 hours.
